A visual identity was developed for the event collective [APROPO], which uses Piaggio Apes as mobile bars. A logo, a customized corporate font and templates for various applications were developed. Merchandising articles were designed and produced using screen printing. Apropo is an ongoing project in which the visual implementation is continuously being developed.

MEMORIA, 2024

Memoria is a custom serif typeface designed for the Whitney Museum's library research department and archives. Rooted in the museum’s history, it revives elements from a typeface once used in its signage and a 1930s publication. While respecting these historical references, Memoria subtly reinterprets the original design. The typeface integrates seamlessly with the museum’s modern corporate identity.

[14THX] is a creative initiative rooted in the joy of design and the spirit of giving. It began this year as a small gesture — sending personalized cards to friends — to make their day a little more special. The vision is to turn this into a lasting tradition, expanding the list each year and embracing new ways to bring people closer. Created in collaboration with Elisa Käser.

RUNNING OUT OF TIME, 2024

Premature deaths are measured using the "Years of Potential Life Lost" (YPLL) indicator, which places greater emphasis on deaths occurring at younger ages. The infographic highlights the data and stories behind these lost years and shows how certain diseases shorten the lifespans of individuals in Switzerland. While raising the question, how do we manage the limited time that we have.

Inspired by an old laundromat sign, this custom sans serif display typeface was developed. The process involved extracting modular shapes from the original sign and constructing a full character set using both manual and digital techniques.

This project explored the evolution of the Cilo bicycle brand logo through different eras. Five new logos were designed for key years (1920-2040), reflecting changes in design trends and brand identity. The results were presented in a risograph-printed fanzine, created in collaboration with Dana Cavaliere.

Five custom symbols were designed to represent the unique character of Zurich's Kreis 5 district. Inspired by local observations and research, the symbols reflect the district’s atmosphere, architecture, and culture. The symbols were developed through a structured design process, involving both manual drawing and digital refinement.

Inspired by the form and function of a screw, this project explored the creative potential of materials through traditional letterpress techniques. The focus was on deconstructing the screw into its fundamental components—shape, texture, and symbolism—and using these elements to guide the creative process. Anna Facchinetti is a swiss graphic designer currently studying at Zurich University of the Arts. Visual communication, to her, represents the challenge of navigating a world where we're constantly surrounded by images, influencing how we see and understand reality. We take in visuals by judging, absorbing, and filtering them, shaping our sense of self and our understanding of the world.
